Rytas adds 185 cm tall shooter R.J. Cole to the team's roster. A contract was signed with the American player, who played in Germany last season, according to the formula 1+1.
Point guard promises to do everything to help the team achieve victories: "First of all, I would like to thank the Rytas family for the opportunity to be a part of this great organization. Winning is an important part of this club's DNA, as it is mine, so we will work hard every day to achieve it. This is the main goal", R.J. shared his thoughts about joining the team. "I know my role, I understand what the coaches and management want from me and my future teammates. I can't wait to get to know them and I believe that we have a special year ahead of us, both in Lithuanian and in the Champions League."
The 23-year-old guard, who played for Howard and Connecticut universities, made his debut in Europe last year. He started the season in the Greek League, where he played 30 minutes average in 20 games for Lavrio and scored 13.8 points, 4.6 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1 steal for a total of 13 efficiency points.
After a successful start to the season, in the spring R.J. moved to Braunschweig Löwen in Germany, where he finished the season. There, he collected even better numbers in a shorter period of time. After playing an average of 24 minutes in the German basketball league, R.J. Cole averaged 14.1 points, 4.9 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals for a total of 14.8 EFF.
