"Lietuvos Rytas" worked hard in defeating "Vytautas" on their home court in Prienai - 75:69.

The home team jumped out of the blocks early and had 5 points before "L.Rytas" managed to open their account. It was all Magden for "L.Rytas" as he hit 10 points for the quarter and held the quarter time deficit to three: 17-20.

Again the hosts got out to a hot start and were 20-33 leaders at one stage before the "L.Rytas" machine found some flow and started scoring again.

One of the driving forces behind the comeback was newcomer Loukas Mavrokefalidis who on debut added five points in his seven minutes. Marc Carter was also adding some noise after a quiet start to the season. Kurtinaitis was no doubt hoping they had turned the corner and were well on the way to victory when the finished the half even at 36-36.

"Vytautas" was not to be denied though, and again they started with a bang and pulled away to a seven point lead before "L.Rytas" began the work of reeling them in.

Ben Magden again took over the bulk of the scoring duties and he went on to finish with 21 points. The home team were shooting the lights out and managed to stay close to the end, but "L.Rytas" managed to settle better in the final minutes and took the win back to Vilnius.

As mentioned, Marc Carter was showing more drive and determination than we'd seen and was rewarded on the scoresheet with 10 points and 4 assists.

Rokas supplied his usual 12 and Robert Carter rounded out the double digit scorers with 11.

For "Vytautas" Klimavicius had 20 points and Eigirdas Zukauskas collected 18.
