The statement of "Lietuvos rytas" club on the actions of A.Guoga
"Lietuvos rytas" club, based on the information published by club president Antanas Guoga, wants to present his position to the public and the media:
1. A.Guoga, as president of "Lietuvos rytas" club, had all the information and knew about the contract with the concern MG Baltic. We want to emphasize that the contract was signed by former club owners on May 22, 2017. The contract is for two seasons and the provided support has already been received on May 24, 2017. No new agreement with MG Baltic has been signed.
2. A.Guoga became a shareholder of "Lietuvos rytas" club and took over part of the previous owners and committed to fulfill certain financial obligations of the club.
The club believes that it would be appropriate in this case to make this contract public. However, due to the conditions of confidentiality, the club asks A.Guoga to publish the details of the contract and how it is carried out.
3. Having reviewed the club's contract with sponsors and other club partners, the shareholders did not detect any violations of Darius Gudelis's actions, therefore expressed their full confidence, positively evaluated the work already done and supported it in the further work for the benefit of "Lietuvos rytas" club.
The shareholders of the club, after assessing the situation, did not understand the statement, content and goals of A.Guoda's statement. Therefore, it was decided to call the shareholders of the club and invite A.Guoga to explain.
