Wednesday evening on "Siemens" arena promises another special blow of emotions. The legendary basketball player and trainer Rimas Girskis will be honored, and his granddaughter, one of the most prominent Lithuanian music stars Jazzu will sing national anthem in the arena.
R.Girskis has become Lithuanian champion six times with Vilnius "Statyba", also in 1979 USSR championship won the bronze medal.
"We invite everyone to come to the arena and pay homage to the true legend of the Vilnius city basketball.
Rimas Girskis is a special basketball personality and we have the opportunity to give him respect for everything he has done for the sake of the capital and country basketball.
Jazzu will make the evening even more special," said Darius Gudelis, director of Vilnius club.
