Eimantas Bendzius leaves Rytas Vilnius

Rytas Vilnius couldn't save their team captain Eimantas Bendzius. As a result of pandemic, the capital club and a 30 year-old basketball player are forced not to take the opportunity to extend the contract for another 1 year.

"I would like to thank all of Vilnius fans for their support and the people of the club for looking for opportunities to extend our cooperation. It is a pity that I have to leave, but that is the reality and we have to accept it. I sincerely wish the club many victories next season and I would like to chant in a year or a few years together with Rytas fans," said E. Bendzius.
